ברוכים.ות הבאים.ות למעבדה לחקר ההתמודדות עם אובדן ודחק בפרספקטיבה רב תרבותית ואינטרדיסציפלינרית, בראשותה של ד"ר ריבי פריי לנדאו מהמכללה האקדמית אחוה. חוקרות וחוקרי המעבדה שייכים.ות למגוון הרב תרבותי של החברה הישראלית, וכך גם עוזרי המחקר המסייעים להם.

אובדן ודחק הן חוויות אוניברסאליות אך אופן ההתמודדות עימן הן אינדיבידואליות, ומתקיימות בזיקה להקשר הסוציו-תרבותי של הפרט. לפיכך, המעבדה עושה שימוש בשיטות מחקר איכותניות (Qualitative methods), מתוך רצון לתת מקום לנקודת המבט ולחוויה של האינדיבידואל, במרחב החברתי-תרבותי בו הוא פועל. במקביל, נעשה שימוש במתודולוגיית מחקר משולבות (Mixed methods). ​

אנו מאמינים.ות כי הידע האמפירי והקליני המצטבר במסגרת המעבדה יוכל לתרום לאנשי טיפול וחינוך בנתינת מענה מיטבי למתמודדים עם אתגרי החיים הכרוכים בחוויות של אובדן, שכול ודחק בנסיבות מגוונות ובחברה רב תרבותית.  אנו מאמינים.ות בחוסן האנושי להתמודדות עם אתגרי החיים וביכולת הצמיחה ממשבר, בד בבד עם קידום מודעות לאחריות החברתית לתמיכה מיטבית במתמודדים, באשר הם.
